My name is Paul James Cooke, I am 44 years old and was born and live in Plymouth. I have recently started my own Community support business called ‘Yack Community Support’.
I have decided to start up on my own, after working as a community enabler for a national charity for the last 5 years.My work as a community enabler involved assisting people who are wheelchair users, physically disabled , learning disabled to access the community to-do a range of activities including:-
Going to the gym, exercise classes, personal shopping, personal banking, working at an allotment, cinema, meals out, live music and pub visits, swimming, trips to Dartmoor, visits to theme parks, watching Plymouth Argyle, Plymouth Albion, Plymouth Raiders, disco’s , nightclubs, walks on the Hoe and sight seeing, visit the museum, attend church, social events, etc.
I am now able to offer a ‘one 2 one, door to door service’ assisting you to do the community based activities of your choice.
You may want to get out on your own without your normal support or family member being with you.
You may need to visit family or attend an important function or appointment, funeral or wedding.
You may want to go out daily or weekly to attend an activity of your choice, such as the ones listed above.
You may normally be independent but need some extra support depending on what you choose to do.
I have a wheelchair accessible vehicle that will be supplied.
I am Police checked.
